We know it can be hard to think of fun activities when it's raining over the summer, but don't worry! At PGL, we're all for getting muddy. Our challenges can be even more enjoyable in the rain, which is why we're sharing with you our best activities to take part in when it gets a little bit wet:
Indoor or outdoor ball sports
What's better than a good kickaround on a wet and slidey pitch? With options to choose from, such as football, netball, volleyball and basketball, it's up to you and your family if you'd rather head indoors or risk the rain. Don't worry about ability; it's just a great chance to try out some sports this family holiday.
Kayaking
If you're prepared to venture out in the rain anyway, then you may as well get soaked while Kayaking! Unless you think your family has the skills to keep your Kayaks upright. We are so lucky to have some fantastic rivers and lakes at our activity centres for you to explore. Our instructors will teach you all the basics, and then it's time for some team games and individual challenges.
Kayaking is a great activity for a family adventure holiday with teenagers. It tests your strength, endurance and even more so your bond as a family.
Survivor
Test your camping skills and acquire more as your family works together to keep dry in our forests. Search the area for anything you can find and learn how to build a wilderness shelter. This is a brilliant way to test your cover when it's raining. Will you be able to stay dry in your family adventures?
Archery
Draw, aim, release! Don't let the rain put you off. It might be a little distraction, but our archery activity is still great, even with some showers. Our expert instructors will guide you through each step, from loading the bow to hitting the bullseye. Take note of their top tips and see who has the steadiest aim in the family!
Jacob's ladder
How high can you get? Don't let the rain affect your mission to the top of this giant-sized ladder. Work together as a family on one of our activity holidays, and you'll get to the top in no time. The wet weather may add to the challenge - are you ready?
