Nobody likes queuing, and the excitement and anticipation when waiting for the majestic rides at Disneyland Paris is what makes it so tough! Well, naturally as one of the greatest theme parks in the world, Disneyland Paris is always going to be somewhat busy — but there are ways you can try and beat the queues so you don’t have to wait for long, or at all!

How long are the queues at Disneyland Paris?

There are so many factors that affect the queuing times at Disneyland Paris, but some of the big thrill rides like Big Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril can see waiting times of up to 1.5 hours and sometimes even longer. The good news is that this is not often, and usually, you can expect to wait between 30 minutes to one hour for these kinds of rides.

If some of these rides aren’t for you, then that’s great! There are lots of rides that have waiting times of under 20 minutes, and some that you’ll be able to hop straight on even on busier days.

How to beat the queues at Disneyland Paris?

Here are a few things you can do to try and limit your queuing times, so you can get straight to having a thrilling time!

Go during the week

Simple but effective. Even if it is during the holidays, there’s usually a significant difference between weekdays and weekends. If you’re on a Disney Explorer break with PGL, you can head to Disneyland during the week to make the most of your day there.

Go during the parade

If you’ve already seen the parade before, or you’d just prefer to get through as many attractions as you can, then this is the perfect time to sneak away from the crowd and head to your favourite rides. As lots of people watch the grand parade trail down Main Street, you can take advantage of the shorter queues across the park!

Get there early

Disneyland Paris opens at 9:30 am, and the earlier you arrive the better. The closer it gets to lunchtime the busier it will get. We’re not saying make sure you’re the first ones through the gates (although that would be fantastic!), but if you arrive when the park opens you’ll have a better chance of avoiding queues for the morning.

Single rider queues

Maybe someone in your family wants to go on a ride that nobody else does. Well, in that case, make use of the single rider queues. Not all attractions have these, but the likes of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain do. It’s a queue where they manage to squeeze single riders on spare single seats since most people queue up to ride with 2 or more people.
