The Kern family have been welcoming guests to the Millstätters lake in Carinthia for many years. The Hotel zur Post Döbriach is a traditional Austrian guesthouse situated in the centre of the small traditional village of Döbriach which is famous for its thermal spas and the downhill racer Franz Klammer, who raced here.

The Bad Kleinkirchheim lifts are a short 20 minute drive down the valley. Beginners start on the beginners’ area close to the Maibrunnbahn chairlift or on the slopes close to the Kaiserburg gondola. Later in the week they progress to the longer slopes at St. Oswald and the steeper slopes at the top of the Kaiserburg.

Accommodation

The hotel offers a combination of hotel-style and apartment-style rooms with a total of 100 beds on three floors. Students are generally accommodated in spacious 2-6 bedded rooms. Teachers are mainly accommodated in 2-4 bedded rooms. All rooms are en suite and equipped with a TV, safe and hairdryer. Some also have a balcony. Towels are provided for all guests.

A damage deposit may be payable on arrival.

The hotel has a large, traditional dining room as well as a bar that serves soft drinks and snacks. The dining room can also be used as a meeting room for evening activities.

Breakfast and dinner is served buffet style and a packed lunch is made up at breakfast to take to the slopes. Tap water is available at all meals.
