About Jugendgästehaus Mitterlengau

This family-run youth style accommodation is very popular with British school parties.

The attractive traditional chalet style building occupies an ideal location in the Glemm Valley offering superb views of the surrounding mountains.

There is a nursery slope next to the property for beginners and the owners also run the ski school. It is approx 4km to the village centre and just under 2km to the Hochalm Lifts in Hinterglemm.

Breakfast and evening meal are served in one of 2 dining rooms. Packed lunch is taken to be eaten on the slopes. Beginners on the nursery slope next door can have a hot lunch instead if they would prefer.

The property can accommodate up to 125 guests.

Rooms are on 2 floors with pupils mainly accommodated in four, five and six bedded rooms. There are some eight-bedded rooms available.

All rooms have washbasins, but showers and toilets are on the corridor for pupils.

Intermediates will enjoy the beautiful tree-lined pistes on both sides of the valley and the open snowfields above Hinterglemm. Experts will find some steep and bumpy challenges, especially on the formidable Zwölfer run from the top of Hinterglemm at almost 2000 metres down to the bottom of the valley. Meanwhile, for beginners the nursery slopes are close to both village centres, with a range of good, easy runs higher up.
