About Bad Gastein
Bad Gastein lies at the end of a steep valley in the magnificent Hohe Tauern Mountains.
It offers both excellent skiing with its recently upgraded lift system and a cosmopolitan atmosphere in the town, deriving from its historic grandeur as one of the greatest spas in Europe.
For beginners Bad Gastein offers ideal slopes and good progression to plenty of enjoyable cruising and carving. As an area it is probably best suited to intermediates looking for a combination of mileage and challenge.
