With 35 km of pistes in a peaceful setting, Santa Caterina is a sought after destination due to its compact nature providing a quiet and safe location for school groups. The virtually empty slopes are a real benefit for beginners, allowing them to gain confidence before progressing to a good range of red runs.

With lifts rising to 2770m, the high altitude makes for superb snow conditions even in early or late season. The village itself is set at over 1700m so you can ski all the way back down at the end of the day.

Santa Caterina has a natural skating rink and Bormio is only 15km away for shops, cafes and the renowned thermal baths.

The skiing is well suited to beginners and it is also excellent for intermediates having predominantly red runs and a couple of challenging blacks. Two new ski lifts have increased ease of movement around the mountain and the Deborah Compagnoni run is floodlit for those wishing to try a little night skiing.
