What is a PGL family short break?

It is a 4-night adventure holiday short break available Monday-Friday. If you haven’t got the time for a 7-night break, but want something longer than a weekend escape, then this is for you. 

What happens on a PGL family short break?

Short of family short break ideas? Look no further. With PGL, you and the family will take part in three to four of our exciting activities each day, this could be things like Abseiling, Canoeing, Buggy Building, Swimming and more!

The fun doesn’t end once the daily activities are over. In the evening we put on some great entertainment for you to see out the night, including family quizzes, karaoke, discos, treasure hunts, and more. 

Family short break activities with PGL

Interested in what you’d be doing on your family short break? Well, here are some of our favourite activities:

Abseiling

Support from all the family is needed to succeed in this challenge. While strapped in safely, you must work your way down our purpose-built abseiling wall to reach the bottom. Look down if you dare!

Canoeing 

Whether your little ones want to help paddle or not, canoeing is brilliant. With more space than a kayak, you can maybe fit the whole family in a canoe and explore the river/lake together. If the kids don’t feel like paddling anymore that’s fine, it just means more work for you parents.

Paddleboarding

Master your balancing skills on our paddleboards! Hop on and use your paddle to head out into the water. Who will be the first to fall into the lake? This is a great activity for first timers, and one that many children haven’t tried before!

Buggy Building

What a great family challenge! You must all put your minds to the test to decide how to build a buggy using the materials provided. It’s all about teamwork as you work together to create a buggy that moves!
