About Chalet les Chamois

The delightful Chalet les Chamois is 800 metres from the village of Valmeinier 1500 and well placed for direct access to the slopes of Valmeinier and Valloire.

Beginners start the week on the nursery slopes which are a short drive from the hotel. As they progress, the ski school will meet students at the hotel so they will be able to make full use of the Girodiere chairlift 20 metres away.

Accommodation

The Chalet sleeps up to 55 guests in 15 bedrooms, so a full group can have sole occupancy of this property.

The Chalet is simply furnished to give a light, modern feel. Rooms have twin and bunk beds and sleep between 2 and 5 guests. All showers and toilets are located on the corridors and there is a washbasin in each room.

Accommodation is on a full board basis and groups have the option of a hot lunch in the hotel or a packed lunch to take to the slopes. The hotelier also provides a light afternoon tea after skiing.

You may be charged a damage deposit on arrival.

With 70% of the ski area over 2000m it makes for great snow conditions and a long operating season. The wide open slopes of Valmeinier created in the 1980s are also ideal for snowboarders.

Beginners and intermediates are particularly well catered for with predominantly green, blue and red runs on the Valmeinier side, and some more challenging blacks towards Valloire for the more advanced skier.
